Dora Dean ''Deanie'' Inscoe Beasley, 88, of Roanoke Rapids, died Monday, April 01, 2013.

Deanie was a native of Halifax County, born December 5, 1924 to the late Walter Franklin Inscoe and Dora Alice Smith Inscoe. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur ''Oscar'' Inscoe, Willie David Inscoe, and Claude Mason Inscoe. She graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School, Class of 1942. She was a member of South Rosemary United Methodist Church, where she served in the UMW, was a member of the choir, treasurer, and Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Garvie D. Beasley; her son, Vander L. Beasley and his wife, Susan, of Spring Hope; her brother, W. F. Inscoe and his wife, Barbara, of Wilson; her sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Daniel, Dorothy Barnes, and Betty Dickens and her husband, Alton, all of Roanoke Rapids; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at South Rosemary United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 3, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Sue Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
